The mission of RB2C is to provide an opportunity for cooperative research between university researchers and industrial partners to develop appropriate advanced composite technologies for the repair of building and civil infrastructure.

An effective retrofit solution minimizes the need for specialized labor and service disruption, is durable, is relatively easy to design and evaluate, and minimizes total costs even if it requires more expensive material. The unique features of advanced composite technologies make such effective, improved repair solutions possible.
